Project Manager
Start date: October 2025
The project manager is a pivotal role that orchestrates our internal resources so that we can deliver amazing programming, optimize our expertise, remain fast and flexible, and respond to a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. This position will serve as the lynchpin between Learning Undefeated’s R&D team, consultants, educators, and partners.
JOB DUTIES
- Serve as a collaborative member of a fast-paced design team, working alongside Learning Undefeated’s leadership team to develop workflows, reports, tools, and templates to track and manage project deliverables.
- Orchestrate project resources to ensure project deliverables are met. Collaborate with internal teams (such as education, marketing, operations, and partnerships) to create successful outcomes.
- Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with school and district stakeholders, such as teachers, superintendents, administrators, students and parents.
- Build and manage strong partner relationships, serving as the program lead with multiple stakeholders. Develop a deep understanding of partner, school, and educator needs and align products and services to meet those needs.
- Manage project budget, tracking expenditures and projecting project costs.
- Oversee a portfolio of programs and events, including school visits, community outreach events, and marketing events. Provide timely and accurate project reporting both internally and externally.
- Assist with development of curriculum, activities and materials for students and teachers.
- Orchestrate and oversee program vendors, including transportation (drivers), logistics, supplies, and scheduling for school visits and events. Maintain detailed records of daily schedules, equipment, supplies, and facilities.
- Provide effective and inspiring leadership by being actively involved in all programs and services, developing a broad and deep knowledge of Learning Undefeated’s program portfolio.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities for Learning Undefeated to leverage cross program strengths, seizing new opportunities and addressing organizational challenges effectively.
- Supervise up to four program staff, with an emphasis on delivering outstanding programs.
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter with a “Start with Yes” attitude and willingness to work both independently and collaboratively. This position requires outstanding customer service and someone who is friendly, outgoing and works well as part of a team. Learning Undefeated is a fast-paced startup environment, and successful candidates will be flexible and adaptable.
- Four-year degree required in one of the following fields: communications, business, marketing, project management, or any STEM field.
- 3+ years of experience in a project or program management role. Experience managing multiple priorities in a client facing role.
- Polished presentation skills including excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strategic thinker, able to identify, track, and resolve client issues to ensure satisfaction.
- Trustworthy; able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Mission driven.
COMPENSATION
- Job type: Full time position
- Pay: $65,000 – 70,000 per year plus participation in Learning Undefeated’s bonus program
- This position is 50% remote, ideally in the Washington DC/Baltimore MD metro area, with up to 50% travel to Learning Undefeated’s offices, client sites, and event and school locations.
