A thought leader in innovative delivery of STEM education, Jennifer Colvin is Learning Undefeated’s Chief Innovation Officer and crazy ideas captain. Jen provides strategic direction of Learning Undefeated’s education programs, develops new initiatives, and leads partnerships with schools and school districts. Jen has built and launched more than 20 successful mobile laboratory programs and vehicles, both for Learning Undefeated and partner organizations. Jen began her mobile laboratory career as a founding educator onboard the MdBioLab in 2003.
Deeply committed to equity and access to STEM opportunities for all students, Jen has extensive experience developing and delivering informal science education programs, including mobile laboratories, distance and hybrid learning curricula, equipment loan programs, and disaster recovery education programs. In addition, she has many years of professional development workshops and seminars for educators and life science professionals.
Jennifer’s scientific background includes substantial genomics and high throughput DNA sequencing research, development and quality control experience. She is a past Chairman of the Mobile Laboratory Coalition Board of Directors and served on the Executive Board of the Maryland Association of Science Teachers. Jennifer received her undergraduate degree in Biology from Pennsylvania State University.
