About the Curriculum
Learning Undefeated created an adaptable, cross-disciplinary framework and model activities for the Texas Mobile STEM Labs to introduce Texas teachers and students to principles of engineering design, aligned to Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS). The common framework includes defining a problem; identifying criteria and constraints; designing, building, and testing; and evaluation and iteration.
Learning Undefeated provides all instruction and the materials needed to complete engineering design challenges. All activities focus on students designing solutions to problems and allow for collaboration and exploration of the content.

Point of Contact & Reminders
One contact person must be assigned for school visit. Learning Undefeated staff will send an email to the main contact to begin coordinating details for the mobile lab visit. Learning Undefeated and the main school contact will work together to select a date for a pre-visit meeting to discuss logistics. Teachers must maintain communication with our staff in a timely manner to ensure the best experience for students. Failure to do so may lead to your week being given to an alternate school.

Pre-Visit: Six Weeks Out
Learning Undefeated will schedule a time for a virtual pre-visit meeting with the main school contact. Pre-visits should be scheduled at least six (6) weeks prior to the school visit. The pre-visit allows teachers and Learning Undefeated to discuss documents, parking, scheduling, activities, and expectations.
Pre-Visit Expectations:

Downloads & Forms: 4 Weeks Out
All required documents should be completed and returned at least 4 weeks prior to your mobile lab visit.

During Your Lab Visit
Learning Undefeated educators will work with teachers to create a schedule of classes. All classes are one-hour long with a 10-minute break to reset for the next class. The schedule should also allow time for staff to take a one-hour lunch break daily. Learning Undefeated does not conduct classes on Mondays, which are designated travel/setup days. If there are classes held on Friday, instruction will end at noon.
Learning Undefeated educators will be on site to facilitate classes and logistics for the mobile lab visit. A representative from the school must remain onboard the lab while students are participating in mobile lab sessions.
The Texas Mobile STEM Labs program offers TEA-approved one-of-a-kind experiences for K-8 students and teachers to solve engineering design challenges that integrate content knowledge aligned to the TEKS.
Students, teachers, and an administrator are required to participate in surveys to help provide feedback and improve future programs. No personal or identifying data will be collected from students. Individuals may opt out of participating in the program at any time.

After Your Visit
- Parking space area should be cleared of all cars to allow removal of lab.
- Incomplete teacher surveys will be sent via email following the visit, administrators should be sure all surveys are complete. Incomplete surveys will result in the campus becoming ineligible to receive a future Texas Mobile STEM Labs visit.
- Check our website for upcoming events and online learning — new content is added regularly.
- Follow Learning Undefeated on social media and enter the Teacher Social Media Contest (link to this page)
- Spread the news to “educator friends” about the Texas Mobile STEM Labs Program!
