NEW FOR the 2025/26 school year!Our largest mobile lab will feature the new Breakout Box: AI Mission for Capitol region schools. This program uses game based learning to introduce students to artificial intelligence and how it can be applied in cyber security and computer science careers.
This brand-new mission applies Learning Undefeated’s award winning Breakout Box game experience to the exploding career field of AI, helping students understand how they can harness this new tool for their own career potential.
The Breakout Box: AI Mission experience will be offered along with our interactive and standards-aligned laboratories in biology and chemistry.
Our power grid is under attack. A hostile cyber force has deployed a virus designed to disrupt our infrastructure and send the country into darkness. The virus is wreaking havoc across key power hubs, causing blackouts in multiple regions. If it isn’t stopped soon, we’ll face a nationwide disaster. You and your team of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence experts are tasked with stopping this attack before a total blackout occurs. Working with our own advanced AI-powered systems, you must protect our power hubs across the country, restore power to critical areas, and prevent the hacker from a complete takeover.
Breakout Box: AI Mission Learning Outcomes:
Collaborate in teams to solve multi-part puzzles that require communication, logical reasoning, and shared decision-making.
Apply critical thinking to real-world cybersecurity and AI challenges, analyzing scenarios for patterns and vulnerabilities.

What is the AI Breakout Box? What will my students learn?
The Breakout Box: AI Mission is a fast-paced, game-based learning experience where students take on the role of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence experts. Their mission: stop a hostile cyberattack on the nation’s power grid before a total blackout occurs.
Through teamwork, students will:
Solve multi-part puzzles that require communication, logical reasoning, and decision-making.

What grades and subjects is the AI Breakout Box suitable for?

Can I still book my usual MXLab science experiments?
Yes! The Breakout Box: AI Mission is offered in addition to our hands-on, standards-aligned biology and chemistry labs. You can mix and match experiences to fit your curriculum needs. Spring 2026 visits will be prioritized for schools that want to take part in this new AI experience.

Ribbon Cutting at Texas State Capitol Launches Eight New State-of-the-Art Mobile Labs

A ribbon cutting event on the Texas state Capitol mall on September 10, 2025 celebrated the launch of eight new Texas Mobile STEM Labs vehicles for Texas public schools. “The Texas Mobile STEM Labs program began with a simple idea: what can we do to bring hands-on STEM learning to students across the state of Texas?” said Brian Gaines, CEO of Learning Undefeated at the ribbon cutting event. “With the launch of eight new labs today, this program is directly preparing our students for the future workforce, educating the next generation of leaders for the high-demand STEM careers that will power Texas forward.”

Thanks to a massive program expansion for the 2025/26 school year, the Texas Mobile STEM Labs program will include nine traveling laboratories, visiting 270 school districts in all 20 education service regions this school year. Since its inception in 2020, the program has served over 33,000 Texas K-8 students to date.
