What’s Actually Happening inside Medtronic Spark Explore?
The Medtronic Spark Explore mobile experience goes beyond content knowledge and builds the skills and mindsets students need to succeed in health tech and beyond.
Through hands-on design challenges, students practice problem-solving, collaboration, prototyping, and resilience while building “innovator identity” traits including curiosity, empathy, and confidence as learners. By connecting biology, systems thinking, and digital technologies to real-world human needs, the experience helps students see themselves as capable innovators.
For teachers, this means students are more engaged, more willing to take intellectual risks, and better prepared to apply classroom learning to meaningful, future-focused careers.
This Experience has Everything!
- Purpose-designed teaching space for grades 5-8
- All equipment, materials, and supplies
- Full-time traveling staff to support student instruction and teacher professional development
