Joseph Wilkerson, M.S., oversees Learning Undefeated’s fleet of six mobile laboratory programs, which bring professional-grade science equipment and supplies right to a school’s parking lot, along education outreach programming for underserved communities. Joe joined Learning Undefeated in 2015 as an educator and has managed multiple programs since that time including the Young Science Explorers’ Program, a hybrid summer camp for middle school students, educator professional development, and education partnerships.
Joe brings a lifelong passion and enthusiasm for environmental studies to his work with students. As a former mobile lab instructor, he recognizes the importance of engaging students and how to use the environment to deliver lessons inaccessible to the traditional classroom. He received his M.S. in Environmental Science and B.S. in Biology from Christopher Newport University, where he researched hybrid striped bass aquaculture. Joe has been a member of the Maryland Association of Science Teachers since 2015. He is an avid tournament fisherman and when not in the lab he is often searching local waterways for largemouth and smallmouth bass.
