Riverside Community STEM Festival & Delaware STEM Ecosystem One-Year Celebration

April 19 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

Help us celebrate the successful first year of a multifaceted STEM education partnership between Learning Undefeated, the WRK Group, and AstraZeneca, which has already served over 3,000 Delaware students this school year! The free Riverside Community STEM Festival is an outdoor event designed to engage students with Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) subjects through hands-on activities and game-based learning. The open-to-the-public event includes hands-on science experiments, fun and games, free food trucks, and DJ Beauty & the Beatz spinning in the teen dance space. Learning Undefeated’s Drop Anywhere Lab will serve as the backdrop of the event, offering students, parents and teachers a preview of the immersive learning experience that will be serving Wilmington-area middle schools this year.

This partnership, designed to engage local students with STEM concepts and careers through hands-on education and to introduce local teens to in-demand STEM careers located right in their own backyard. These new programs support the development of a Delaware STEM ecosystem, creating educational opportunities for teachers and students based on the leading-edge research and development taking place within the local community.

Participants under 18 years of age can participate in the STEM scavenger hunt and enter to win prizes including a Nintendo Switch, Oculus VR, and Lenovo laptop computer. Grand prize drawing at 3:30 PM!

The event is free and pre-registration is not required.
