Alamo STEM Youth Summit

January 17 @ 9:00 am - 2:00 pm

In partnership with Alamo STEM, Learning Undefeated will be bringing the Mobile eXploration Lab (MXLab) to St. Mary’s University for the Alamo STEM Youth Summit in San Antonio, TX. Why a Youth STEM Summit? More than ever, there’s a global priority of preparing students for STEM college and careers at the secondary level with high-quality experiences that increase career awareness and help cultivate relationships, mentorships, and work-based experiences in our region. This event is sponsored by the Department of Defense STEM Education Consortium.

The event includes keynote speakers, breakout sessions, a STEM expo, and networking opportunities for middle and high school students in the area. Registration is required.

As part of Learning Undefeated’s footprint, MXLab will be onsite for students to experience our new Artificial Intelligence Activity where they will explore machine learning through Google’s Teachable Machine and problem-solve issues of data class bias. In the afternoon, students will have the opportunity to micropipette in one of our micropipette challenges. We will also have an expo booth for participants to learn about our Emerging Leaders program kicking off in San Antonio this spring.
