School’s nearly out, but MdBio’s team is hard at work on summer camp programs across the state. On June 4, MdBio CEO Brian Gaines appeared on Straight Talk with Mike Gimbel to discuss MdBio’s Young Science Explorers’ Program (YSEP), a weeklong summer camp program for rising seventh and eight graders. Gaines was joined by MdBio board member and Senior VP, Research and Development at Emergent BioSolutions, Barb Solow, to discuss the impact YSEP makes on Baltimore students and the Baltimore community.
Now in its ninth year, MdBio is partnering with the Ingenuity Project and Baltimore Leadership School for Young Women to host YSEP, which includes tours of Emergent’s new East Baltimore pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. The interview aired June 4 and June 18 on WUTB and WNUB, Baltimore.
