Students Explore Mobile Science Lab at Gaithersburg Middle School

“Especially being in the biotech corridor of the City of Gaithersburg, I mean this is just a prime opportunity for us to further instill the value and importance of a STEM education in one of the most diverse cities in our country,” County Councilmember Laurie-Ann Sayles said. Thursday night kicked off a new year-long partnership that will bring the “Breakout Box: Body Systems Mission” to schools across the state, according to a release from Learning Undefeated. The event is part of a week-long visit at Gaithersburg Middle School.

‘Port-able’ learning lab makes its way to Corpus Christi

The program is a partnership between the port of Corpus Christi and Learning Undefeated. It’s a non-profit that encourages students to get involved with science, technology, engineering and math.

The month, Learning Undefeated debuted a totally new learning experience for The Port of Corpus Christi’s PORT-Able Learning Lab. Tailor-made to emphasize content themes related to maritime careers and the Coastal Bend area, the new Breakout Box: Environmental Mission takes high school students on an immersive adventure using computational thinking and the practices of science and engineering, without even leaving the school parking lot.
